  • MLK Day

In praise of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

A man who truly changed the world.

Who left us all too soon.

    Live The Dream.

  • When I was working at Buckeye Woodland Elementary School in Cleveland, an all black school....I asked the kids about Martin Luther King and they didn't know who he was ...I was flabbergasted!!  So, we had a lesson right there on the spot.

I hope the bad ice stays away from you.

  • BTW: You might be interested in checking out TNuts.  She lives in Cleveland now and works at Ford.  She's a real sweetheart.  I met her last summer when we visited Cleveland.  My profile pic will be a scene from metro parks in Cleveland.

  • Hope you are having a good week!

  • Hi there Jackie. It is so nice to open my xanga site and find a new person leaving a nice comment. So josaju sent you my way, huh? I love that lady. She is a girl with a heart of gold. She is also Cleveland's bestest cheerleader ever. She has nothing but praise for her hometown.

Anyway, it is very nice to meet you.

  • I am very big on doggy socialization. I may not have the most obedient dogs in the world, but they hae he best social skills ong. Youwanna know a little secret, they have more friends and play dates than I do!

  • MLK was a good leader, a visionary, a very commendable public figure. Its a shame that as a candidate for sainthood everyone has 'forgotten' that he was extremely sexist and although he was a pastor, was never faithful to his wife. By 'forgetting' its as if sins against women are condoned. Just like Louis Farrakhan (whom I despise) it was all about men.  Equality for all men, both Black and White.

I still think he was perhaps the major political figure of his times.
