surprise sale
Remember that coffee house I mentioned on March 14th which had displays of local artists? I contacted the lady in charge of it, who said they had no openings in the forseeable future, but a few days later she inquired about a picture on my gallery website that she wanted for her husband's birthday. We made arrangements to meet at the same coffeehouse next day & presto! she had his birthday gift. It was an intriguing experience, because even had I gotten an exhibit there, it might not have resulted in a sale. So the whole thing was a pleasant surprise.

Wow you did get a surprise I know that it made your day.
way to go. How much is your drawings?
To bad that you can't come down my way when we have our SaltFork Art festable.
I went to it one year and it was pretty nice it s held out to the City Park.
There was alot of pictures that I would love to have and never have the money to get what I wanted so
I quit going. It is held every Aug. at the park. I forget if it's the 1st weekend or the 2nd weekend of Aug.
I'm so happy that you made a sale.
Take care and have a good night
Mickie
Congratulations!!!!!!!
Well I dont guess I realized you painted these pictures on your sight--your very talented!!
I will have to come back over here when I have more time and scroll back and look at some of your work.
The ones i see are wonderful--congrats on selling that one and I bet you get more orders from that
What a beautiful piece of work! I'm sure her husband will love this! Wondering if you like the book by AF. I listened to an interview with her regarding this book....If I am remembering correctly, one woman in particular was so fascinating. She was a brilliant scholar who later became Voltaire's lover - can't remember her name.
Thanks for the encouraging words and for stopping by. This piece being no exception, I usually enjoy writing my posts more than anyone ever enjoys reading them.
And the only drawback with putting quotes on my pulse is that the space is so limited! The Bonhoeffer quote had to be cut back drastically from what I originally wanted to put. And yes, I agree - using your blog or pulse to tell people how bored you are is a waste of words. I keep my blog for actual topics, not justrandom thoughts I may have thru the day.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see you again soon.
You are so very welcome.
