This has been a terrible week! Last week my keyboard took spells of not working at all, I finally learned that if I turned it off, waited awhile & rebooted that it worked again. Then I spent most of Sunday trying to install the Ethernet adapter so I can get DSL internet. I'm on a 99 Gateway running Win98, so it's a bit like attaching an airplane engine to a Model T. After hours of work, my system would not recognize the new part, so it was a complete waste of time.Though it was fun seeing the inside of my computer. A friend sent me driver downloads & further suggestions to try.
   However, Monday I developed ear problems, from liquid inside them. Not only were both clogged up, reducing my hearing to about 10%, but the left one had a tremendous earache. The whole side of my head felt like it was on fire and throbbing. This lasted until late Wed. nite, though there was still some shooting pain on Thurs. This morning when I got up, most of my hearing had returned & the pain was gone. Thank goodness! But the whole week has gone with nothing accomplished except some leaves done on my current painting. Now to catch up with computer mechanics & other things that were postponed while my brain was scrambled.
   Then, as I suspected, the Cleveland climate went from being jacket weather to tropical in the span of a few days. It became incredibly hot and humid the last few days and there was no air conditioning in my apt. Since there's been some thermostat replacements in our apartment, I didn't know if it was the entire building, or just this unit, until I asked a neighbor. The furnace repairman came out this evening and now I can stop sweating while sitting perfectly still.
   So that was my week; sweltering, painful & frustrating. How was yours?
