  • women artists

The book review site, Vulpes Libris, was on summer break for 2 weeks, but has now returned with renewed energy.I start off the week with a review of a biography of Elisabeth Vigee Le Brun, one of France's most famous and prolific artists. She mostly painted portraits of the European nobility and was forced to flee her home during the French Revolution.
I also briefly explore the status of women artists in history. Here is a direct link to my review, if you're interested http://bit.ly/a9TZoF

  • It is very important to generate a good attitude, a good heart, as much as possible. From this, happiness in both the short term and the long term for both yourself and others will come.

  • Yes, I was very pleased to find a comment on Madame Le Brun from one of her countrymen. And thank you for recommending my post here about it, the visitor stats have greatly increased.
Lola is a lovely name for such a lovely dog. Please give her a pat from an American admirer.
