this & that
--The rattlesnake drawing featured in the previous entry was sold last weekend during the Cold-Blooded Creations exhibit in Florida. That was a pleasant surprise.
--I tell people my real feelings about libraries in my latest post on the literary website, Vulpes Libris http://bit.ly/aQ650H
--Still coughing, though sometimes not as bad. Finally got my 2nd inhaler on Thursday, which the pharmacist said should start helping within the week. Hope so.
--The Tamarin Cam at the National Zoo is working again, so now I can watch the busy little golden lion tamarins, a type of small monkey. The cam hadn't been available for a couple months & I missed them. If you'd like to check it out, scroll down the page at Tamarin cam--My latest painting, of a spotted turtle in spring, is more than half finished. It's a commission, long overdue, but I'm hoping to have it done this fall.I'm doing the turtle itself at the moment & finding the legs tricky.
--I have wanted the 3 volume set of "The Complete Letters of Vincent van Gogh" ever since I was a teenager. Last weekend, I found a reasonably priced set on ebay in perfect condition, it arrived yesterday & to say I'm thrilled is an understatement.

The letters of Vincent Van Gogh are a good ascuisition, Jackie . Such love, such sufferings and such art . Probably they are letters to his brother Theo.
appropriate )

I read the previous post before this one and I am glad to know you sold the snake drawing as I was sure .
Perhaps I am wrong but I have the impression the profile picture changes from time to time . In your comment it was a horse !!
Have a good Sunday.

I don' t succeed too open the page with your link above to Vulpes libris
Sorry about the link not working, I forgot to put a dot in a certain place. It seems to be working now.
Yes, the letters are mostly to Theo, but there's a few to some other relatives & friends. As you say, some are quite sad. But others are full of sketches & plans for his art, which I find riveting.
When I went to the cam I got a warning from McAfee. Think they don't know Firefox as a browser. Guess I should try linking from IE.
Glad you made the sale, hope the inhaler works.
Finally I succeeded to open the page Vulpes libris and left a comment.
You are convincing.
