According to the Chinese Lunar calendar, it's the start of the Year of the Rabbit. I found this nicely done graphic at deviantart.com & put it up to celebrate. I like the Chinese Zodiac better than the Western kind, because all of the signs are animals.
While in this mindset, I reviewed a book on Chinese painting for the literary website, Vulpes Libris. If you'd like to read about it, click here . It was a treat to submerge myself in an art form that I really like, but don't know as much about as I ought. I learned a lot from it & enjoyed all the color plates, so much so that I'm hoping to find a inexpensive paperback edition to buy.
