Dora is recovering and thankfully, without surgery. She's not 100% better, but is much more active, eating a good bit( especially hay and veggies) and drinking her regular amount of water. She seems to be sleeping a bit more than usual, but that could be drowsiness from the antibiotics. We are both relieved that they are nearly gone. She hates the liquid Baytril, despite it's watermelon flavor and she becomes very flexible when trying to avoid the feeding syringe holding the meds. I do enjoy the cuddle time we have afterwards, when she sits on my lap, but there have been a couple times she has punched me with her snout when I've gotten done giving her the meds.
It's so great seeing her bouncing around, asking for carrots & being a busy little pig as usual. I'm still worried that the stone hasn't completely dissolved or will build up again, but mostly I'm feeling relief that she's getting back to normal.
