Vincent van Gogh was born 160 years ago today. He lived a life full of creativity and loneliness. I first read about him when I was 11 years old and always felt that I could relate to him more than most people. His artistic output was amazing, not just because of the quantity, but also because of his skill and changing styles. At the end, it was as if he was squeezing emotions onto his pictures, instead of paint.
As the song says "The world was never meant for one as beautiful you..."

I've had bronchitis sine the last couple weeks of February. I went to the doctor on March 8th and got medicine, finishing the antibiotics last week and still on cough pills and using my inhaler more often. It's a stubborn case, but seems to be fading. Which is good, since I've got my first craft show of the year this Saturday, the 23rd. It's a new show at a local high school and there's another craft show that weekend as well, so I'm not sure how big of a crowd it will draw. I'm hoping that I at least sell enough to cover my table fee. Thankfully, my sister is off that day and has promised to help me take it down.
There's 3 of my pictures at a Community Exhibit at Avon Library for the month of March. They normally have this show in May, every other year, so I'm not sure why the month was changed this year. But maybe more people will go to the library and see it, with the weather still cold outside? My book discussion meets there next Tuesday and I'm hoping I feel well enough to attend to see the other art work that's in the show.
My guinea pig, Dora celebrated her fourth birthday yesterday(Sunday) and I made her a big salad as usual. It had Romaine lettuce, endive, carrot shreds and tops and parsley, which i don't think she's had before. Her eyes always get so big when I set the salad in front of her and she starts gobbling it as fast as she can. I took photos of her eating it, but haven't downloaded them yet, so I'm posting a pic from last year's celebration.
