Happy Birthday Vincent!
Vincent van Gogh was born 160 years ago today. He lived a life full of creativity and loneliness. I first read about him when I was 11 years old and always felt that I could relate to him more than most people. His artistic output was amazing, not just because of the quantity, but also because of his skill and changing styles. At the end, it was as if he was squeezing emotions onto his pictures, instead of paint.
As the song says "The world was never meant for one as beautiful you..."

Bet you would like one of his paintings.
I like Monet.
@BLB - I do have some little prints of his paintings, so I'll have to be satisfied with them, considering the price of the real ones. lol
Monet is another favorite, I've yet to see one of his that I don't like. The Impressionists are my favorite group of painters, they are amazing.
a few years ago we were at Saint-Remi -de -Provence where I lived a few time towards the end of his life ?He loved the light of Provence . I wonder if starry night has been painted there .
love

@fauquet - I'm so envious of you having been to some of the places where Vincent lived and worked. I believe Starry Night was painted in Arles, just before he went to St. Remy. That's my favorite painting of his and I have a postcard of it on the wall above my drawing table.
